Rock Choir is the UKs largest contemporary choir, with choirs all around the UK! The Ilkley Rock Choir will be performing at the carnival this year with some brand new music. They are a super friendly bunch, and Rock Choir is always looking for new members! Love singing? You’ll love Rock Choir! Join us on Wednesday evenings at St Margaret’s Church. Visit to book your free taster session. We do gigs all around Yorkshire and we can’t wait to perform at the carnival.

Back by popular demand!  The Ec-Tix were formed after three friends Alan, Ben & Jordan, who have learning disabilities, autism and a love for music got together at SORM Studios in Bradford to sing together. Their passion for music was evident and it was decided that they would form a band and sing on stage in front of an audience. Overcoming anxiety & stimulus overload, such as large crowds and noise the lads performed their first gig at an event run by SORM Studios and they received an amazing welcome and requests for them to perform again. The Ec-Tix have performed together at many events, including festivals alongside mainstream bands and their popularity is growing. Their performances are fun with an eclectic mix of genres such as rock, indie, Ska and pop chosen by the lads, which is usually well received with audiences encouraged to join in or dance to the music. Once seen never forgotten!

The Finishers are five Ilkley dads with a shared passion for music who got together just before Covid. The line up is Gavin E on drums, Adam H on bass, a twin-pronged guitar section of Chris T  and Andrew S, with Dominic P on vocals. Their interests range from post-punk to new-wave, indie, rock and pop. They have a knack for playing well-known guitar-based tracks from the 70’s through to the 00’s that are sure to have everyone singing and dancing along. They played at the 2021 Ilkley River Celebration on 29 August 2021 and headlined at the Ilkley Car Free Festival on 19 September 2021. They play commercially, but also enjoy appearing at events in their home town, as a way of giving back to their community.

Jularah is a Keighley born and bred artist who now lives in wonderful Ilkley.  Singer, songwriter, guitarist, performer and busker.  All songs are from the heart and filled with Love, Light, Peace, Hope and Joy.  LOVE Is The Answer… to EVERYTHING

Edged In Blue are a Yorkshire based Rock covers band. We bring high energy good time covers of some of your favourite Rock Bands and even a couple of twists in between. The 4 of us bring years of experience together to bring our huge sound to the stage, having played together in one way or another over years. We take influence from such a huge range of bands, ranging from the Foo Fighters and Muse, right through to Iron Maiden and Metallica and everything in between.  We are: Ady Ingleby – Bass Guitar and Backing Vocals; Dan Gibbins – Guitar and Lead Vocals; Matt Taylor – Guitar and Backing Vocals and Mike Kenworthy – Drums.

Bradford based alternative/punk/hard rock band based at SORM studios in Little Germany, Bradford.  Formerly known as the Dead Rejects the band consist of ‘Reverend Dave’ on vocals, ‘Beast’ on bass, ‘Mr Sticks’ on drums and ‘Moshua’ on guitar.  Our first EP ‘Arnt You Dead Yet’ is out now.

Established in 2018, Theatre Works Academy is a Musical Theatre School for children and young adults based in Craven. Their weekly classes are led by Industry professionals with a wealth of knowledge and experience, focusing singing, dancing and acting to provide their students with a rounded training and the ability to deliver a “triple threat performance!”  The group will be performing a medley of songs from musicals comprising ‘Seasons of Love’ (Rent), ‘Elegance’ (Hello Dolly), ‘Six’ (Six) and ‘Born to be Brave’ (High School Musical).

Lauren Southgate is 20 years old and has not only a passion for music and performance but more recently photography / Media.  From singing in choirs at the age of 5 to creating her first album at SORM Studios in Bradford she has developed her vocal skills and taken part in many musical theatre and acting productions over the years.  Everything she has done has given her a better insight into the music and media industries.

Lauren is looking forward to performing at the Carnival again after appearing here in 2019.

Another returning act, local singer songwriter, Adam Catlin will be playing an acoustic set.  Performing some original songs and a variety of cover versions. You can find his lo-fi sound on the following links:

Upstagers has been providing a creative outlet for youngsters in the Ilkley area for over thirty-five years. As well as putting on Ilkley’s annual pantomime and a summer musical, Upstagers runs a suite of performance and singing classes through their Upstagers Academy and has a great team of teachers providing fulfilling, fun and beneficial classes to the next generation of Upstagers stars. Our students get the most out of their experience by building confidence and developing communication skills, whilst also having a lot of fun and meeting new friends. We’re proud to be performing at Ilkley Carnival and showcasing some of our wonderfully talented Academy students.

Alexander Ashman Hogan is a 16 year old guitarist and singer from Ilkley. He started playing guitar 6 years ago and plays covers and writes his own songs. He takes his inspiration from artists such as The Wombats, Hozier and Queen and covers many of their songs. He is currently a student at Ilkley Grammar School and is looking forward to finishing his GCSE’s and spending the summer traveling and playing gigs.

The Stolen Bows are musicians Andrea Hardaker (vocals, ukulele, violin, piano, harmonica, banjolele, suitcase drum) and Cathy Crabtree (vocals, guitar and lap steel guitar). They play Americana/Country and other styles – originals and covers, singing harmonies.
