THE SORM ILKLEY ROCKS STAGE

ILKLEY ROCK CHOIR

Rock Choir is the UKs largest contemporary choir, with choirs all around the UK! The Ilkley Rock Choir will be performing at the carnival this year with some brand new music. They are a super friendly bunch, and Rock Choir is always looking for new members! Love singing? You’ll love Rock Choir! Join us on Wednesday evenings at St Margaret’s Church. Visit rockchoir.com to book your free taster session. We do gigs all around Yorkshire and we can’t wait to perform at the carnival.

EC-TIX

Back by popular demand!  The Ec-Tix were formed after three friends Alan, Ben & Jordan, who have learning disabilities, autism and a love for music got together at SORM Studios in Bradford to sing together. Their passion for music was evident and it was decided that they would form a band and sing on stage in front of an audience. Overcoming anxiety & stimulus overload, such as large crowds and noise the lads performed their first gig at an event run by SORM Studios and they received an amazing welcome and requests for them to perform again. The Ec-Tix have performed together at many events, including festivals alongside mainstream bands and their popularity is growing. Their performances are fun with an eclectic mix of genres such as rock, indie, Ska and pop chosen by the lads, which is usually well received with audiences encouraged to join in or dance to the music. Once seen never forgotten!

THE FINISHERS

The Finishers are five Ilkley dads with a shared passion for music who got together just before Covid. The line up is Gavin E on drums, Adam H on bass, a twin-pronged guitar section of Chris T  and Andrew S, with Dominic P on vocals. Their interests range from post-punk to new-wave, indie, rock and pop. They have a knack for playing well-known guitar-based tracks from the 70’s through to the 00’s that are sure to have everyone singing and dancing along. They played at the 2021 Ilkley River Celebration on 29 August 2021 and headlined at the Ilkley Car Free Festival on 19 September 2021. They play commercially, but also enjoy appearing at events in their home town, as a way of giving back to their community.
