Back to WOW carnival crowds – The Vander Super Heroes Wheel Of Death Show!
It’s regarded as one of the most dangerous acrobatic stages in the world!
Now Ilkley Carnival crowds will be able to see for themselves what the Vander Wheel of Death is really like – it promises some death-defying stunts!
The Vander Wheel of Death is a 9 metre steel structure with metal beams that rotate on a central axial, at the end of each metal structure is a round hoop-shaped cage.
As the structure turns, it allows performers to walk and then run on the inside or outside of the cages – with body momentum they get the wheel to spin faster, which then allows them to perform jumps and flips on the inside and outside of the rings and perform blind-folded, juggling and skipping!
The Vander Wheel of Death show will be performing in the Discover Ilkley Arena throughout the afternoon, estimated performance times are 12:45, 13:55, and 15:45.
